United Review: Reds held against Southampton

Manchester United 0 - 0 Southampton Manchester United suffered a frustrating 0-0 draw against Southampton at Old Trafford, after Casemiro was sent off in the first half. The Brazilian midfielder was given his marching orders for a challenge on Carlos Alcaraz. Referee Anthony Taylor initially held up a yellow card, before a VAR check persuaded him it was serious foul play. The home side's best chance of the game fell to Bruno Fernandes. His curling effort forced Saints goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu to make a great save to force it onto the post. United Review: Title charge on?

Manchester United 3 - 0 Leicester City Manchester United defeated Leicester City 3-0 at Old Trafford to move within five points of the top of Premier League leaders Arsenal Marcus Rashford scored with the Reds’ first shot of the match in the first half, before he added to his tally with another strike following half-time. His countryman Jadon Sancho, who was introduced as a substitute, completed the scoring shortly after the hour mark. United's Dalot had missed a great chance when it was only 1-0. Rashford on fire. Is he the best player in the world? For Rashford, the brace increased his goals tally this season to 24 in all competitions – the most he has ever managed for the club in a single campaign. United Review: MUFC battle to crucial win

Leeds United 0 - 2 Manchester United The Red Devils scored twice in the final 10 minutes at Elland Road to leave Leeds deep in relegation trouble. Three days on from Marcus Rashford netting the Red Devils' first goal as they came back from 2-0 down at home to secure a Premier League draw, he broke the deadlock when he rose to meet Luke Shaw's curling cross to head past Illan Meslier for his 21st goal of a superb season. Alejandro Garnacho then outpaced the home defence before beating Meslier at his near post to the joy of Erik ten Hag. Great win reds! United Review: One point gained?

Manchester United 2 - 2 Leeds United We fought our way back from being two goals down to take a point against Leeds United at Old Trafford. Marcus Rashford and substitute Jadon Sancho levelled Wilfried Gnonto’s first-minute strike and Raphael Varane’s own goal to move Erik ten Hag’s men three points ahead of Newcastle United in the Premier League table. The Reds fought back from the deficit with well-worked counter-attacks and a never-say-die attitude, epitomised by Luke Shaw, who was instrumental in Sancho’s goal to level the clash. United Review: Important win a sign of progress

Manchester United 2 - 1 Crystal Palace United earned an important 2-1 win against a stubborn Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in the Premier League. Bruno Fernandes netted the opener with a first-half strike from the penalty spot. Marcus Rashford then made it 2-0 early in the second. This was a match dominated by United. However threatened to be turned on its head minutes later though. Casemiro was shown a red card following a melee involving multiple players. The one-man advantage that Crystal Palace had meant the visitors had the momentum to get back in the game. They pulled a goal back through Jeffrey Schlupp. The Reds held on during a frantic end to the match to claim all three points. This video from UnitedPeoplesTV explores some reaction to the match. Another United fan told us: "This feels like a very important win for us. We dominated the game for around 70 minutes before the red card and the Crystal Palace goal. The character on display after that was perhaps a sig

United Review: Late goal dents momentum

Crystal Palace 1 - 1 Manchester United A late free-kick from Crystal Palace's Michael Olise denied Manchester United a victory that would have taken them second in the Premier League. United were on course for their 10th successive win after Bruno Fernandes scored just before half-time when he finished well following Christian Eriksen's pull-back. However, Olise struck in dramatic style with a brilliant curling free-kick to ensure a point apiece. Momentum dented? United had a shout for a penalty on 72 minutes when Scott McTominay was challenged by Chris Richards just inside the Palace box. However, referee Robert Jones waved play on. Three minutes later, De Gea was forced into another fine stop, punching away Marc Guehi's header. This was all before a late Palace goal. Has that dented United's momentum? Highlights You can watch the highlights of the match in the video below. Footage from  Manchester United - YouTube One YouTuber commented: "I am running out of

United Review: Manchester is red

United 2 - 1 city A few thoughts on a memorable afternoon at Old Trafford as United staged a late turnaround to come from behind and beat their local rivals in a dramatic derby at Old Trafford. City looked to be closing the gap on Premier League leaders Arsenal after substitute Jack Grealish headed them in front from Kevin de Bruyne's cross on the hour. However, United sent their fans into raptures with a superb recovery. The reds drew level with 12 minutes left as Bruno Fernandes scored despite the presence of Marcus Rashford in an offside position.City's protests that he had interfered with play ignored despite the flag going up. Marcus Rashford was the maib figure again four minutes later when he swept in substitute Garnacho's cross at the Stretford End to move United to within one point of the blues. Another sign of United's remarkable recovery  Our recovery has been assured under Ten Hag and the scenes from players at fans at the final whistle demonstrated that a

United Review: Another sign that belief and confidence is back

Manchester United 3 - 0  Bournemouth Manchester United stretched the winning run in all competitions to six games with a comfortable victory over Bournemouth. Casemiro latched onto a Christian Eriksen free-kick with a beautifully cushioned volley to put the Red Devils ahead half way through the first half. We doubled our lead four minutes into the second period as Shaw, playing in his more accustomed left-back role again, swept home an Alejandro Garnacho cut-back to complete a beautiful free-flowing move. Marcus Rashford then rounded off the scoring, tapping into an empty net after a Bruno Fernandes pass, to score in three successive Old Trafford league games for the first time. Reaction Luke Shaw told the media: “It was a really good result. At times we got a bit sloppy and conceded chances but David De Gea was amazing and made a number of really good saves to keep that clean sheet and an important three points which we needed. “I’ll play wherever the team needs me or the manage

United Review: Casemiro shines in comfortable win

Manchester United 3 - 0 Nottingham Forest It was a straightforward night for the Red Devils as we brushed aside Forest with relative ease.  First goal was a training exercise worked to perfection We were ahead in the 19th minute from a set-piece move that would have brought a smile to the face of Teddy Sheringham, the former United and Forest striker who had particular success with goals from near-post corners. On this occasion, Christian Eriksen angled the ball along the ground and Rashford swept it into the net, finishing as he ran at full speed. Hennessey at fault for the second goal It was 2-0 a few minutes later after the slippery conditions deceived Hennessey. They took advantage of an overload on the left flank as Fernandes worked the ball forward to Rashford, who found Martial on the edge of the penalty area. His shot was side-footed, weak and, despite going through Willy Boly’s legs, should have been saved, but the ball squirmed from Hennessey’s grasp and trickled over th

United Review: Late Garnacho win seals United win

Fulham 1 - 2 Manchester United How important could this win be at the end of the season? Manchester United snatched a dramatic stoppage time winner through substitute Alejandro Garnacho as they beat Fulham in a thrilling final Premier League match before the Qatar World Cup. In what was a frantic second half at Craven Cottage, Fulham looked to have earned a point before the 18-year-old Argentine raced through and arrowed a shot into the bottom corner past the former Arsenal keeper Bernd Leno. Match highlights. Video credit -  Manchester United - YouTube   Former United winger Dan James had earlier come off the bench to grab an equaliser from Tom Cairney's low cross to give the hosts what looked to be a well-deserved point after David de Gea had previously made several fine saves. Christian Eriksen had previously put the visitors ahead in the first half with his first United goal, sliding in to finish at the back post from a low cross from Bruno Fernandes. But Garnacho's w

United Review: Man United lose at Villa Park

Aston Villa 3 - 1 Manchester United A stunning start to Unai Emery's reign at Aston Villa after an awful performance by Manchester United. Quick summary of a nightmare afternoon for Manchester United Aston Villa were excellent, and they thoroughly deserve their win. The 3-1 defeat was not a fluke scoreline. United's goal was a fluke but other than that, Villa were excellent and could probably have scored more goals. This was how United lined up at Villa Park. They were shocked as Villa raced into a 2-0 lead. Luke Shaw's deflected effort gave them hope but Villa were 3-1 up by 49th minute. It was then a very straightforward afternoon for the Villains. 🚨 TEAM NEWS! 🚨 Erik makes one change from Thursday's win in Spain, with @MarcusRashford coming in for the suspended @B_Fernandes8 . #MUFC || #AVLMUN — Manchester United (@ManUtd) November 6, 2022 European Super Football (eurosuperfootball.blogspot.com) The best chance of the second half came to Dalot. United Review: Reds hold on for vital win

Manchester United 1 - 0 West Ham United What were your thoughts as United held on for a vital Premier League win. Marcus Rashford's 100th Manchester United goal was enough to beat West Ham United and provide a fitting tribute to a special 85th anniversary for the Old Trafford club. The 24-year-old powered home a firm header seven minutes from the break after Christian Eriksen had curled over a superb far-post cross, making Rashford the 22nd United player to reach 100 goals. In what turned out to be a thrilling finish, David de Gea made fantastic saves to deny Michail Antonio and Kurt Zouma. Then, with almost the final move of the game, he turned away a thunderous Declan Rice effort. Fan comments Danny was sat in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand at Old Trafford. He said: "It’s nice to see United players enjoying their football again. West Ham were unlucky though." Olivia is a Season Ticket Holder in East Stand. She added: "Great win, starting to feel a lot more confiden
