United Review: Unbeaten run ends

Arsenal 3 - 2 Manchester United

United's 10-game unbeaten run came to an end at the Emirates Stadium.

Eddie Nketiah's late strike sunk the Reds to defeat in the Premier League.

Rashford's 17th goal of the season fired Erik ten Hag's side into an early lead in North London, before Nketiah's header levelled matters just eight minutes later.

The ever-threatening Bukayo Saka then scored to put the Gunners ahead with just eight minutes played of the second half, curling an effort beyond David De Gea.

Lisandro Martinez's smart looping header evaded the best attempts of William Saliba, drawing the Reds level going into the final half an hour.

However, there was to be heartbreak late on, as Nketiah's second goal handed Mikel Arteta's side all three points in an end-to-end encounter.

Reaction

The United manager spoke with the club's website after the match. He said: "'You have to defend better. You make mistakes and then it is like a pack of cards. In this situation, it is something we have to avoid, the same as the first two goals when you start the game and you come up. It was too easy to give the goal at 1-1 away. When you are in the game and at 1-0 you have to realise that more spaces will come. We have to learn these lessons if we want to come here and beat these big teams.''
