Progression is great experience for the reds
The young Reds won their group in the previous stage of the competition. This featured Barrow, Fleetwood Town and Carlisle United to set up the tie with Wolves.
The competition is still regionalised at this stage as United drew League One side Bolton Wanderers. Former Bolton skipper Kevin Nolan drew the tie, alongside blue Shaun Wright-Phillips, in the Sky Sports studio. There should be plenty of excitement around the occasion, considering the historical rivalry.
The final is due to be staged at Wembley on Sunday 19 March next year.

Great scenes
This picture shows how delighted the younger players were after they confirmed their progression. For all the faults of the competition, it is great to the players performing on bigger stages. Great progress for all of the players.
