Progression is great experience for the reds

The young Reds won their group in the previous stage of the competition. This featured Barrow, Fleetwood Town and Carlisle United to set up the tie with Wolves.

The competition is still regionalised at this stage as United drew League One side Bolton Wanderers. The final is due to be staged at Wembley on Sunday 19 March next year.
