United News: Cristiano Ronaldo returns to training

What's the latest with Cristiano Ronaldo?

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to group training at United's training ground.

Ronaldo refused to come on as a substitute against Tottenham last Wednesday and was subsequently dropped for Saturday's 1-1 draw at Chelsea.

Ten Hag later said there had to be "consequences" for his actions. It is understood there has since been communication between Ronaldo and Ten Hag over the the past few days.

Ronaldo blamed the "heat of the moment" after he left United's ground before the end of United's 2-0 win over Spurs, having left the bench and walked down the tunnel in the 89th minute.

What are the fans saying?

One matchgoing United fan told us: "Ten Hag has dealt with this very well."

Another added: "I'm glad he's back in the squad but I think Ten Hag made the correct decision to withdraw him from the squad."

Liam, a fan from Oldham, said: "I think he's been a little daft and he's not thought through his actions. He has handed all of the power in the situation to the club and Ten Hag, which to be fair is where the power should always be at Old Trafford."

United Review: Rashford on form as United progress

Manchester United 2 - 0 Burnley Marcus Rashford readjusted to club matters after his World Cup campaign with England as he scored a fine solo goal in Manchester United's EFL Cup win over Burnley at Old Trafford. Rashford was one of five United players on duty in Qatar to make manager Erik ten Hag's starting line-up. Christian Eriksen put the hosts ahead just before the half hour with a fine first-time finish after Aaron Wan-Bissaka has provided his first goal assist since May 2021, Rashford took centre stage 12 minutes into the second period. Given too much space as Burnley's defence backed off, Rashford started running 10 yards inside his own half and didn't stop until he had sprinted into the box, darted between Jack Cork and Jordan Beyer and driven his ninth goal of the season into the bottom corner. It was enough to earn United only their second home win inside 90 minutes in this competition in five years. Let's have a look at his time at Old Trafford then his spell at The Etihad. Move to England On 23 August 2006, it was reported that Tevez was refusing to play for Corinthians. Tevez confirmed on his website on 31 August that both he and Javier Mascherano were signing for West Ham United on permanent deals for undisclosed fees.  Media reports speculated that other Premier League clubs turned down the opportunity of signing Tevez and Mascherano because of stipulations put in place by third parties MSI and Global Soccer Agencies.  Tevez made his West Ham debut after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 1–1 home draw with Aston Villa on 10 September 2006.   However, after this match, West Ham went on a nine-game winless streak (one draw and eight defeats), which included seven consecutive matches without scoring. This winless run also in...
